Volunteer

Bring your craft to the work.

We do not need warm bodies. We need editors, attorneys, therapists, photographers, accountants, and engineers willing to give 4 to 40 hours of their best work to a daughter you will never meet.

Three ways in

Pick the door that fits.

01

Pro Bono Skills

Remote, project-based work for licensed professionals. Legal review, financial audits, brand strategy, software, clinical supervision. 4 to 40 hours per engagement.

02

Vision Trips

Short field visits for donors, advisors, and board candidates. Three structured trips per year. You see the shelters, meet the local team, sign nothing on the trip.

03

In-Field Service

Multi-month placements for credentialed professionals in education, trauma counselling, vocational training, or operations. Background check and reference panel required.

Questions

The honest answers.

Do you accept short-term volunteers at shelters? +
No. Survivor care requires stable attachment. We do not place volunteers in residential settings for less than 90 days. Vision Trips are the structured exception and never involve direct survivor contact.
What is the background check process? +
All in-field volunteers complete a multi-state criminal background check, child protection screening, three professional references, and a clinical interview before placement.
Are travel costs covered? +
Vision Trips are self-funded. In-field placements over 90 days receive a modest stipend covering housing, ground transport, and meals.
Can students or interns apply? +
Yes for pro bono digital projects under faculty supervision. For in-field roles we require post-graduate licensing or three years of working experience.
